Sanjeev Sanyal

Sanjeev Sanyal is an internationally acclaimed economist and best-selling author and is currently closely associated with the Government of India as the Principal Economic Advisor. He is well acquainted with the nooks and crannies of the financial sector as he was the Global Strategist and Managing Director at Deutsche Bank till 2015.

In 2010, he was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He is also an urban theorist and was awarded the Eisenhower Fellowship for his work on urban dynamics. He has been a Visiting Scholar at Oxford University, Senior Fellow of the World Wide Fund for Nature, and Adjunct Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies.

He attended Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi, and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. His best-selling books are- The Indian Renaissance, The Ocean of Churn, and Land of the Seven Rivers. He was also awarded the inaugural International Indian Achievers Award for his contributions to the field of Literature in 2014.
